About Dancing Like the Pros: This is what consumers are looking for…to learn how to Ballroom dance! Learn the art of Ballroom dancing taught by Champion Instructors Alec Mazo & Edyta Sliwinska. Join their fun and upbeat “class” to bring out the Ballroom dancer in you! Geared to offer something for everyone, each dance is broken down into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced sections – so get ready to Dance like the Pros!
Featuring 50 minutes each of these four dance styles:
Rumba— A slow tempo dance that can be done to any Lyrical, R&B, Jazz or Pop music with a four-count bar measure. If you can count 1-2-3-4 to slow music, you can dance the Rumba! The Rumba is a great dance for beginners who have a tough time dancing fast steps and is a perfect dance style to learn for weddings.
Cha Cha— The Cha Cha is a fast tempo dance that is often heard in mainstream music by many of today’s most popular artists. This dance is great to learn if you want to have fun to some fast beats and is a perfect fit for clubs or other social events.
Jive— This is the fastest dance in Ballroom which incorporates swing and rock ‘n’ roll. Artists like Elvis, Ray Charles and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy have utilized the Jive beat in their music. A great dance to learn for quick arm changes, the Jive can be performed at a relatively easy pace or an increasingly difficult, fast level.
Samba— A rhythmical dance with a distinct bounce action that gives it a fluid movement. The Samba beat allows your body to flow and bounce with a lot of hip movements.
About Alec & Edyta: Alec Mazo was featured on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars the first and 4th seasons. Instructing actress
Kelly Monaco from the legendary soap opera General Hospital, they were crowned the champions taking 1st place in the competition season one.
Edyta Sliwinska has been featured on all four seasons of Dancing with the Stars thus far, having coached
Evander Holyfield,
George Hamilton,
Joey Lawrence and most recently,
John Ratzenberger.
