Four Gruagach Tales

Known primarily for his work with the Incredible String Band, Williamson s concern with the British bardic tradition also manifested itself in several books and tapes containing spoken renditions of traditional tales. Subsequent projects have seen the prolific Williamson recording tapes and discs of music for children and pouring his energies into environmental projects for the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Never before released on CD, two of these four stories ( The Fisherman s Son & The Gruagach Of Tricks and Rory Mor & The Gruagach Gaire ) stem from the early 1980 s when Robin recorded them at Chick Corea s Mad Hatter Studios in Los Angeles. The other two stories ( Blind Rafferty and Prince Dougie ) are brand new recordings performed by Robin in Wales in 2006.
