A series of seemingly innocuous music boxes contain a secret valuable enough for someone to start murdering the boxes owners. Holmes soon deduces that the convicted thief who designed the boxes has encoded the music with the location of printing plates stolen from the Bank of England.

Chistopher Lee takes at shot at playing Holmes in this German/French/Italian co-production based on the novel "The Valley of Fear." Holmes and Watson investigate the theft of Cleopatra's necklace.

A STUDY IN SCARLET

This Holmes adventure involves a secret society that collects the assets of its deceased members and redistributes the wealth amongst the surviving members. As one might guess, members are soon dropping like flies and Holmes and Watson are on the case!

We see Holmes drawn out of retirement to investigate the murder of a coal miner arranged by none other that Professor Moriarty. Ian Fleming (not to be confused with the creator of James Bond) plays Watson as he did in four out the five Wontner films.

MURDER AT THE BASKERVILLES

While Holmes is vacationing at the Baskerville estate, Henry Baskerville's daughter's fiancé Jack Trevor is accused of stealing a racehorse named Silver Blaze and murdering its owner. Holmes not only proves Jack's innocence, but also deduces that the true villain is once again Professor Moriarty.

SIGN OF THE FOUR-BONUS- "The Case of the Eiffel Tower" TV Episode
1932 –B & W Approx. 74 min
For this film alone, Ian Hunter plays Watson to Wonter's Holmes. Mary Morstan seeks out the detective to protect her from a treasure-hunting escaped criminal. Holmes and Watson's investigation takes them into a seedy carnival underworld.

THE SPECKLED BAND

An interesting entry in the film history of Sherlock Holmes. Not only is this Raymond Massey's only turn as Holmes, but it is also his screen debut. A nefarious doctor is attempting to get hold of his stepdaughter's inheritance.
