4 Movies on 2 Double-Sided Discs!

The Wizard of Oz:
In this silent slapstick version of L. Frank Baum's classic fairy tale, a Toymaker (Larry Semon) tells a bizarre story about how the Land of Oz was ruled by Prince Kynd (Bryant Washburn), but he was overthrown by Prime Minister Kruel (Josef Swickard). Dorothy learns from Aunt Em (Mary Carr) that she was left on their doorstep as an infant and she is actually Princess Dorothea of Oz. She, Uncle Harry, and two farmhands are swept to Oz by a tornado. They land in Oz, where they encounter a variety of interesting characters in their grand search for the mysterious Wizard (Charlie Murray).

His Majesty, The Scarecrow of Oz:
Based on the fantastical Oz books by author Frank L. Baum, His Majesty, the Scarecrow of Oz is the only one directed and produced by Baum himself. Small town Kansas girl Dorothy (Violet MacMillan) gets stuck in the Land of Oz and teams up with Princess Gloria (Vivian Reed), the gardener Pon (Todd Wright), the Scarecrow (Franke Moore), and the Tin Woodsman (Pierre Couderc). King Krewl (Raymond Russell) has hired the old witch Mombi (Mai Wells) to freeze Gloria's heart in order to force her to marry the wealthy Googly-Goo (Arthur Smollet). When the Tin Woodsman cuts off Mombi's head, she gets mad and turns Pon into a kangaroo. The group sails down a river until they meet the Cowardly Lion (Fred Woodward) and loads of other creatures. Eventually they meet the Wizard (J. Charles Hayden), who sets things right.

The Patchwork Girl of Oz:
The Patchwork Girl of Oz is one of a handful of remaining productions from author L. Frank Baum's short-lived Oz Film Manufacturing Company. It was also the company's first release, and as such was carefully designed to entreat audiences into demanding additional "Oz" pictures. Patrick Couderc is her cast in female drag as the Patchwork Girl, brought to life by charlatan Dr. Pipt (Raymond Russell). Captured by Ozma, queen of Oz (Jessie May Walsh), the Patchwork Girl helps the Queen release her subjects from an evil spell which has turned them all into stone. Mildred Harris, later the wife of Charlie Chaplin, appears briefly as Dorothy, while future comedy star Harold Lloyd can be briefly spotted as an extra.

The Magic Cloak of Oz:
The fairies of Oz gather in the forest of Burzee one evening and weave a magic cloak that gives the wearer one wish, so long as it has not been stolen. The man in the moon tells them that their messenger should give it to the first miserable person they see. Two children, Fluff (Mildred Harris) and her younger brother Bud (Violet MacMillan), have just lost their father and are taken by Aunt Rivette to live in Nole, the capital city of Noland, where the king has just died without heir. Their pet mule Nickodemus is captured by robbers and puts together a small animal army (including the Cowardly Lion, the Hungry Tiger, the Lonesome Zoop, the Woozy, and others) to battle the Rolly Rogues that have invaded the city. The cloak is nowhere to be found because 683 year old bewitching Queen Zixi (Juanita Hansen) of neighboring Ix, has been informed by Quavo (Vivian Reed) the minstrel of the cloaks power, and wants to see herself young and beautiful, as others see her, but she cannot.
