ZAGG Z.buds Stereo Earset

The Zagg Z-Buds are a great idea poorly executed. When they first arrived I very happily opened them up and started wearing them around town. The sound was decent, the noise canceling worked fairly well on the metro, but still a good amount of "train noise" intruded. Sound quality was pretty good, at least at first.

The biggest problem with the Zbuds is the build quality. I don't know why it's so hard to make reliable earbuds, but after just over 3 weeks of use the sound started to cut out on my Zbuds. I traced the wire and found that there was some sort of short where the cord attached to the headphone jack that you insert into the phone. I've contacted both nulime & zagg about this but neither of them have been very helpful to date. I'd assume this would be covered under warranty by at least *one* of the parties at the headphones weren't even a month old and this seems like an obvious manufacturing defect.

Anyhow, if you can coax more than a month out of use from these, they might be a decent value at their price point, but I have to say my experience has been negatively impacted by the build quality & customer support.
