DECT devices made for use in the U.S. use the brand DECT 6.0.

Typical capabilities of DECT systems include:

Multiple handsets to one base station, which allows several cordless telephones to be placed around the house, all connected on the same phone jack.

Interference-free wireless operation to around 100 metres outdoors. Generally immune to interference from such things as Wi-Fi networks, video senders, Bluetooth technology, baby monitors and other wireless devices.

Ability to make intercom calls between handsets.

Sometimes up to 24 hours of extended battery talk-time.
